Travis is somewhat of a “local legend” in the Tulsa area as an original southern rock artist. In fact, his reputation as a talented songwriter and guitarist expands out through the entire region. His acoustic shows combine a mix of both originals and covers of classic rock, country, red dirt and modern rock hits.
He is a veteran musician and can play up to 4-5 hour shows as a solo artist, but he is known to bring a variety of talented musicians to accompany him and fill out an entertaining duo performance.
As a songwriter, Travis Kidd has won a number of awards and was recognized as an official Oklahoma Centennial performing artist in 2007 with his song “Oklahoma Sunset,” which was included as a nominee in the Centennial’s search and naming as Oklahoma’s official state rock song. His awards include Tulsa World Spot Music Award for “Best Country/Americana Artist” in 2006 & 2007, and nominations for “Americana Artist of the Year” in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005. Additionally, he was awarded the Northwest Arkansas Music Award for “Best Male Vocalist” in 2002, and the Ozark Music Award for “Solo Performer of the Year” in 2001 and “Best Male Vocalist” in 2000.
